Horizon Tree Service

Horizon Tree Service has provided tree services in Hobart since 2006 and is owned or run by Glen. The team includes a qualified arborist, tree climbers, and ground crew. The business is fully insured with $20 million public liability insurance and workers compensation insurance. It serves residential and commercial clients in Southern Tasmania and the East Coast. A woodchipper is used that can chip branches up to 15 inches in diameter.

Work ranging from the felling of two trees to the removal of a large dead gum and the trimming of five towering palms runs through the accounts, and clients consistently credit the team with arriving prepared, with the gear required to complete substantial jobs efficiently and safely. Glen appears by name across several accounts, described as prompt and professional, turning up when promised and seeing each job through from start to finish. Dave is singled out for generously identifying the species of a newly planted tree and offering guidance on its care.

Tidiness is a recurring theme, with debris carted away and even neighbouring properties cleared of fallen material as the work proceeded. Reviewers note that existing garden beds and surrounding trees were left largely untouched, no small feat given the scale of some removals. The crew is repeatedly called friendly and polite, with jobs scoped clearly against the budget a customer had in mind and costs regarded as sensible. Longstanding patronage over a decade features in the feedback, alongside repeat bookings and referrals to colleagues.
