The Green Barber Tree Service

The Green Barber Tree Service is a tree services and arboriculture company based in Hobart that has served Southern Tasmania for over 15 years. The company was founded by Conrad, a certified arborist with formal training in arboriculture, who remains its lead arborist. Its team includes certified arborists with licensing and training.

The Green Barber carries $20 million in public liability insurance and complies with local council regulations and Tasmanian state requirements. It maintains active involvement in the arboriculture industry and professional associations. The company serves Hobart, Kingborough, Huon Valley, Clarence, Glenorchy, Brighton, Sorell and Derwent Valley. Services include hedge trimming, tree pruning and reductions, tree removal, and stump grinding.

Tree felling, chipping, stump grinding and mulching form the bulk of the work described by customers of this Hobart arborist, alongside pruning of mature wattles and ornamentals. Conrad is named repeatedly, and several reviewers describe him as knowledgeable, honest and hardworking, with one noting the care taken over seasonal timing so that tree health was not compromised. Reliable attendance and quick turnaround come up often: jobs are reported as finished within a couple of days, with quotes supplied promptly and the final cost matching what was discussed.

Tidiness is a recurring point, with yards and driveways left spotless after crews depart. Reviewers also value the mulch left behind for garden beds instead of being removed. Communication is described as clear before and after work, and the team is characterised as pleasant, flexible and proactive. One collaborative job involved two crews working side by side on a Bruny Island property, and a local client expressed satisfaction at supporting a quality Southern Beaches business. Attention to tree health during pruning is another theme that surfaces in the feedback.
