Bohmer's Tree Care

Bohmer's Tree Care is a locally owned family business based in Wollongong within the Illawarra. It has over 30 years of international arboriculture experience. Clive Woodnutt is the Director and Chief Arborist. The business services the Illawarra, Southern Sydney, Southern Highlands and the South Coast, including private, public, government and strata properties from Sutherland to Shoalhaven. It employs only experienced and qualified arborists. It is a member of Arboriculture Australia and participates in the NSW SafeWork Mentoring Program. It holds $20 million Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and WorkCover insurances.

It supports the charity Need a Feed, donating money and all profits from its mulch. It uses an eco-friendly state-of-the-art chipper with tracks and vegetable oil in chainsaw operations to minimise environmental impact on local waterways. It identifies native fauna issues and habitats prior to commencing works. It runs affordable educational packages aligned with the curriculum. Its main services include tree removal, pruning, crown maintenance, emergency services, mulching, stump grinding, planting/transplanting, cabling and bracing, and dead wood removal.

Tree removal and garden care around Wollongong feature throughout the feedback left for this business, with reviewers describing substantial jobs such as felling four trees on a sloping block, including a large eucalypt in an awkward corner, and clearing a gum that had come down in a backyard. Speed stands out in the accounts, with the gap between quote and completed work described as short, and the crew themselves as efficient and knowledgeable. Safety awareness and a tidy finish recur, several customers noting that fallen branches and leaves were removed thoroughly before the team left.

Clive is named for the care he took explaining a proposed plan before any cutting started, and Matt for listening patiently and sharing his knowledge without rushing. Natasha is mentioned in connection with arrangements in the office, which customers found straightforward. Friendliness, honesty and straight talking come up across the feedback, as does the value of advice on keeping trees safe where removal was not needed. Pruning, maintenance and broader landscaping work appear alongside the heavier tree jobs, and the same crew is repeatedly asked to return.
