Charlie’s Tree Service

Charlie’s Tree Service has been solving tree problems at homes and workplaces in Southern Tasmania since 2001. Charlie Biggins is the Director of Charlie’s Tree Service and holds a Diploma in Horticulture/Arboriculture. The company offers tree removal, stump removal, tree surgery, trimming, crown reduction, bracing, stump grinding, root barriers, and wood chipping.

It uses a custom built 4x4 chipper bin truck, a large capacity woodchipper, a compact articulated loader, small and large excavators with a dedicated log grab attachment, elevated work platforms (cherry pickers), and all terrain cranes. The company is licensed to perform crane-assisted tree removal. It serves Southern Tasmania.

Private households and property owners around the district describe Charlie and his crew taking on demanding tree work, from large gum trees close to homes to branches above power infrastructure and on steep inclines. Customers repeatedly note that other contractors declined to quote for such tricky jobs, while this team accepted them and completed the work efficiently. Reliability comes up often, with reviewers pointing to arrival at the promised time and a small, skilled group working steadily through the task. The standard of the finished result draws consistent praise, particularly the thorough clean-up once the job is done, leaving the site tidy.

Fair and competitive pricing is another recurring point, alongside the ease of dealing with the business, from a prompt initial response to communication throughout. Safety measures and teamwork are singled out as impressive, and Charlie himself is frequently named alongside his staff for being friendly and professional. Repeat business appears common, with some clients returning over several years and describing the care, mindfulness and expertise as consistently maintained. Expertise in difficult removals, punctuality and a neat finish recur throughout the feedback.
