Gareth is a super friendly and professional person who clearly knows what he is doing. He was able to do the job super quickly, cleaned up beautifully and was very considerate of neighbours when dealing with a tree close to the fence. I will definitely use him again and would highly recommend.

Used Gareth for a significant height reduction of a hedge and very impressed. First time customer, he came on time for quote and for start of job. Tidied away all offcuts, communicated lots about future care of hedge. Highly recommend.

We were extremely impressed with Gareth’s knowledge, professionalism, equipment, price and work ethic. Gareth was excellent from initial assessment, assistance with a letter of support and navigating Council requirements to obtain a permit to remove a huge blue gum. Once permit obtained, Gareth worked tirelessly to fell the tree safely and went over and above what we expected to cut the tree and limbs into manageable donuts for us and then remove the stump. We highly recommend Gareth and would have no hesitation in using his services again.

Unfortunately my review is not so positive on Gareth's service. Despite the quote coming in at an expensive $2740 + GST for one day's work with us to do the clean up, we were initially impressed by his willingness to fit us in for our substantial hedge trimming job. He subsequently reneged on doing the job altogether, claiming I had "ruined" his "only point of reference" by trimming the inside vertical faces of the 16 lengths of hedge myself. There were still 2/3 of the hedging to do: 16 top lengths and 16 outside vertical faces left and he made his claim sight unseen of what I had done. I got the feeling he was just annoyed that he would be obliged to lower his quote as part of the job had been done. He came across as not being enthusiastic every time I spoke to him and may have been looking for an excuse in the first place not to do the work. Significant rainfall had been predicted for the day scheduled for the work to be carried out and the day prior I confirmed with Gareth that he would call at 07:00 to check on conditions. He did not call, I called him and the call was terminated. He finally rang back at 07:36 and said he was in the car - presumably going to another job. During that conversation he expressed his dissatisfaction with me having done some of the hedging "just to save a few dollars" and said that he would be unable to complete the job satisfactorily and "respectfully" declined to do the job. Gareth was aware we are about to put our property on the market with an open home imminent and not many options to have the work done. I am now going to have to do it myself after getting up at 02:00am to work early shifts. As I said to Gareth on the phone, thanks very much!

Gareth was friendly, approachable and thoughtful problem solver with our adopted hedges and neighbouring trees. I really appreciate his decisiveness in the planning phase and neat work. He works hard to complete the project in a timely way and we have been left with an impeccable result, which is exactly what we asked for!!
